Lined Envelopes

Good afternoon!

As I am currently playing and plotting with all thing pretty paper crafty - I thought I would share a couple of envelope lining examples...

Hand printed, wallpaper {ah, the Dalston Rose} and vintage books {Winnie the pooh} and crafters favourite, ric rac.

Top tip... If you are going to line your own envelopes always make sure that you line them down to the bottom fold {or at least past where the sides join together}, otherwise if the envelopes aren't gorgeous and thick you will be able to see where the lining finishes and its always all about the detail xo

How I organise myself

Good morning folks!

Well there is no real science behind being a little organised, you just need to invest a leetle bit of your hard earned spare time in it, and get a system in place that works for you...

Example A above is how I work - I love a good list {and clipboard} and totally subscribe to the writing-everything-down way of thinking {I totally get the paperless office - but it ain't ever going to happen in Atelier Warner}.

I also have a diary, wallplanner, client folders, admin folders and lots of sub folders - I'm such a tease - so there are lots of cross-pollination of to-do tasks - basically to make sure they get done - hell thats the whole point isn't it?

Anyway have to go - my to-do tell's me I should have been on a client call 35 seconds ago.

Love xo

Pop Up Print Shop

Well hello there and good evening to you, yes you - over there - the tired-of-this-weather-looking one, you...

Iv got some news to put a smile on that pretty face...

For AGES I have been talking about doing a Pop-Up-Shop...{literally does what it says} and *obviously* because of my print and paper obsesh it made sense to pop up in print and paper {although keep your eyes peeled for a pop-up-cheese-shop next} so if your not upto much on the 13th June, swing by Ink and Thread in Derby and join me for some inky fun.

Never since Tony Hart graced our screens has Lino printing, Stencilling and Paper Cutting been so cool - think tattoo inspired birdies and anchors, oh-so-on-trend geometrics and {totally overdone but none the less still charming} moustaches and bow ties - you get the picture.

I would love to see you if you are a beginner, haven't thought about paper cutting {except the painful type you get in the office} since school or if you just want to come and hangout and talk cheese and Fleetwood Mac.

This is a cheap and cheerful taster {15 of your English pounds} for longer workshops that I plan to hold over the summer.

Any questions? then drop me a mail hello@abigailwarner.com

Pearl Lowe’s Vintage Craft Launch

On Wednesday 8th May we had the press launch for Pearl Lowe's Vintage Craft at Soho House.

And it was epic.

This book was far and away the biggest project I have worked on since I left my "proper" job in 2007.

This book was like my baby.

For 15 months I worked closely with Pearl {we have worked together since 2008 when I designed her wedding stationery} and Harper Collins developing the book from our original coffee table interiors book proposal to the beautiful craft/ interiors book that you see now {only our original chapter headings remain the same!}.

I worked {with my fabulous team of Helen {on design and illustration}, Mum {on craft and creative and sewing projects} and various expert helpers - lots more to come on those} as Pearl's craft and creative direction on each of the craft projects {there were a whopping 75 created during the process}.

We had sleepless nights, early mornings and late nights developing the craft concepts and making each tutorial followed by the design and illustrative elements... I worked with the most amazing craft editor to pour all of my thoughts and ramblings into the beautiful recipe style layout and what the whole team of {countless amazing people} created is possibly one of the most beautiful books I have ever read.

Pearl's absolutely amazing eye for fashion and interior style, her creative direction and attention to detail combined with her infectious whimsical approach is what sets this book apart from the other craft books on the market.

I am so proud of both working on this book and working with Pearl.

So Wednesday nights will now never be the same again.

{there aren't any pics of me as I'm not remotely interesting to the paparazzi - they haven't seen me on the dancefloor at Scream}.

Behind the Scenes

So way-back-in-January I spent a rather lovely day at Studio Time in London Fields with the super gorgeously talented Emma and wonderfully beautiful also super talented Charley.

I finally launched my look book last week which was absolutely full of gorgeous images from the shoot and thought I would just share a few behind the scenes...

It was F-R-E-E-Z-I-N-G we were *slightly* hungover but had a lovely day {and the strangest taxi ride back to the station. ever} and I was so happy with the end results - can't wait to spend another day with the girls. xo
